Carlos Ibex is a Swiss pianist, composer, and music educator based in Haldenstein, a small village in the Alpine region of Graubünden. Inspired by classical piano compositions, he creates cinematic and emotionally rich songs that combine timeless musical influences with contemporary songwriting.
Rather than arranging classical works into pop songs, Carlos uses fragments of melodies, harmonies, and moods from composers such as Frédéric Chopin and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach as creative starting points for new musical journeys. The result is a distinctive sound that blends atmospheric music and heartfelt lyrics.
Following a successful legal career as a jurist, attorney, and district judge, Carlos chose to dedicate himself fully to music. Today he works as a piano teacher, choir director, and music educator.
His music is shaped by the stillness of the Swiss Alps and explores themes of hope, reflection, and human connection — creating songs that aim to inspire and speak directly to the heart.
